Flail Mower 4ft Spiral shaft 1600mm – Heavy Duty with hydraulic side shif and Rear door inspection panels, designed to mulch most grasses from lawn to tall grasses, and undergrowth where small branches and sticks lay concealed. The flail mower blades are mounted on a horizontal shaft which rotates at high speed. The heavy hammer blades have enough force to cut and shear sticks and branches into small bits and mulch like pieces that are spread onto the ground. The flail mowers rotary shaft and housing design tends to drive cut material downwards into the ground with less throw out than conventional slashers and no grass wind rows. Safety flaps are designed to prevent debris from being thrown out and a rear roller helps to settle the mulched debris into the ground. Cutting heights are adjustable with adjustable skids from 20mm – 80mm and with a range of sizes suiting tractors from 15hp right through to 100hp. There are a range of flail mowers with cutting width from 1200mm to 3m and some models are fitted with hydraulic offset and lift rams for use under trees in orchids or along dam walls.
